Course Objectives

The student should have acquired adequate skills in translation, understood as a personal and original act of text comprehension. Moreover, the student will have built up a valid philological method for critical reading of classical texts and be able to interpret, in an autonomous key, authors, works and genres of Greek literature in relation to their historical-cultural context and to the dynamics of the textual tradition, also in the light of the most recent research directions.
