1991: Degree in English Language and Literature, Faculty or Foreign Languages, Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara, Italy, with honours (cum laude).
1996-1999: PhD. in English Studies, Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara, Italy
1997: Visiting fellow at Nene College, University of Northampton (UK)
1998: Visiting fellow at the University of Manchester (UK)
2001-2003: Post-doctoral research grant in English Studies, Università della Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy
2003: Winner of a post for Senior Lecturer (Ricercatrice) of English Literature and Language, Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara, Italy, (Senior Lecturer from 2004 to 2011).
2011: Winner of the national competition for Associate Professors, Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara, Italy (Associate Professor from 2011 to 2018)
2012: Winner of the National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) for the promotion as Full Professor in English Literature.
2018: Full Professor at the Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara, Italy. In this role, she teaches English Literature and English Theatre at the Department of Humanities, Art and Social Science, Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio di Chieti-Pescara, Italy.

Main Fields of Study, Publication and Research:
Her areas of expertise, and the fields in which she has most frequently performed her research activities, are: the Romantic novel, Victorian literature and culture – both mainstream and popular fiction -- late Victorian writing, twentieth-century poetry, Modernism and Postmodernism, English for specific purposes.
She publishes volumes and articles in English in international and national book series and journals. She organizes international conferences and seminars. She promotes events and meetings with writers, artists and experts in the field of English Studies.
